For as long as I can remember I have had a love affair with jewelry, but not just any jewelry,
it's old jewelry that calls to me. From the very first time as a child that I tried on my
grandmother's old chunky lime green
beaded necklace with the matching overly large earrings I was completely hooked!
I started studying period jewelry in my 20's and collecting in later years, creating my own
vintage/antique style jewelry happened quite by accident.
Over the years of collecting I would often run across pieces that were in really sad shape and
I could not stand to see these once beautiful pieces just tossed away so I started a box to stash
away the unwearable pieces. I can remember the day I went to add a few more pieces to the already
overly full box and had to laugh at myself for having such a large box of useless jewelry.
I dumped it all out and began to sort through it to see what I could part with. Most of it had
"parts" of it that were still good and it seemed a real crime to toss out the entire piece so
I started taking them apart keeping the good bits, getting rid of the unusable and ended up with,
you guessed it, a big box of sparkly parts!
I have always loved to create so I think for me it was a natural progression from there,
picking through the old beautiful bits and pieces and remaking them into the incredible
wearable art they were meant to be.
Of course my knowledge and passion for vintage and antique jewelry would heavily influence my style with the opulent
designs of Middle Ages, Renaissance and Tudor to the romance of Victorian and Nouveau being my amongst my
favorite eras. You will find I am very partial to beautifully aged brass working almost exclusively with it
and large sparkly vintage cut glass jewels ~ making me well known for my Big, Bold and Beautiful pieces.
It has been very rewarding for me to create something that I love and to share my jewelry creations with others!

NOS / new old stock and old jeweler's stock combined with newer reproductions of vintage and antique brass stampings, filigrees and
chain. Incredible vintage Czech,
West German and Japan - glass rhinestones, glass and gemstone cabochons, glass beads, glass pearls, intagilos, traditional cameos
and stunning vintage Swarovski crystal rhinestones. Genuine gemstones such as onyx,
carnelian, garnet, jasper, coral or turquoise - all combined with the most
beautiful solid brass in rich golden patinas.
I only use the finest components spending time to create the perfect piece
and each is an artistically beautiful reflection of history.
